LOW FLOW TOILET REBATE PROGRAM

In Partnership with the City of Palm Springs, Veolia Water is providing a $100 rebate to City residents and businesses with the purchase of a low flow toilet. The 1995 National Energy Policy Act mandated the use of toilets that use no more than 1.6 gallons of water per flush, compared with about 3.5 gallons used by old fashioned toilets. No matter where we live, saving water is a good idea, but it's even more critical in our desert region.

The rebate program is only open to Palm Springs residents or businesses beginning February 15, 2007. Proof of residency is required. Up to 2 rebates are available per household or business. Program may be closed without notice if annual funding limit is exceeded.

STEP 1:

Print out the rebate form and fill it out.

STEP 2:

Purchase your low flow toilets. You may claim up to 2 rebates per household or business address. Be sure the receipt indicates you purchased a toilet.


	STEP 3: Bring your rebate form, receipt and I.D. showing you are Palm Springs resident to the Veolia Office:

STEP 4:

Receive a $100 VISA gift card per rebate that you can redeem anywhere that takes VISA credit and debit cards.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: Can the VISA gift card be used at any store?
A: Yes, any store that takes VISA credit and debit cards.

Q: What if I buy something that's less than $100 on the VISA gift card? Do I lose the balance?
A: No, the gift card will still be good for the remaining balance.

Q: What if I buy something that costs more than $100 with the VISA gift card?
A: You would pay the difference in cash, check or with a second credit card (including a second VISA gift card if you received more than one rebate).

Q: Do I need to provide proof that I installed the toilet?
A: No, you don't have to provide proof of installation; however your rebate coupon is your promise that the toilet will be installed in a Palm Springs residence or business.

Q: Can I mail in the rebate and get my Visa gift card by return mail?
A: Claims for rebates must be made in person with I.D. showing you are a Palm Springs resident.

Q: I live in Palm Desert, can I claim a rebate too?
A: This program is for residents of Palm Springs only. If you live in other desert cities you may want to contact your city council to encourage them to sponsor a low flow toilet rebate program.

Q: I don't have Internet access (or someone I know doesn't have Internet access), where can they get the rebate form and more information?
A: A brochure and rebate form are available in the lobby at Palm Springs City Hall as well as at the Palm Springs Water Treatment Plant at the address shown above. You may also request a copy by mail at (760) 323-8166, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Q: I own two businesses, one in La Quinta and one in Palm Springs. I live in Palm Desert. Does my business in Palm Springs qualify?
A: Yes, only the Palm Springs business qualifies for the rebate.
